Christopher Richmond was born in La Jolla, California. He studied at Chapman University were he received his BFA film production and his BFA in studio art. His work is presented as films, photographs, performances, and installations. His work has appeared in several shows in California, New York, and Europe. His first solo show, entitled 12 O’clock, took place in June 2009 at Vienna’s C17 Gallery. In spring 2008 he was awarded Chapman University’s Faculty Sponsored Student Grant and Best Junior Exhibition by the B.F.A. committee for his mixed media work, 760 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095. In winter 2008, two performance works by Richmond, Chasing the Horizon and Painting the Sky Blue, were selected for Germany’s Szpilman Award. In Spring 2009, he was awarded best Senior Exhibition for his photographic installation, As far as opening mail is concerned by the B.F.A. committee at Chapman University. Christopher Richmond is currently residing in Los Angeles.
